Introducing... my new creative space!
welcome + what to expect

Welcome!

This creative hub/digital world/newsletter/blog space is a new experiment for 2026.

The past several years have brought a lot of significant life and identity upheaval, and as I’m starting to feel more alive again, I’ve been contemplating what I want my work in the world to look like in (what feels like) this second iteration of my adult life.

Through all of this life-reinvention, my (very imperfect, often haphazard) art practice saved me. I want to use my experiences to help and inspire others - to teach/mentor, and to build connection in a way that feels abundant and expansive. I’ve come to believe that I have something of a calling in helping folks come home to themselves after significant life upheaval. Let’s create nurturing, sustainable creative practices together.

what i'll be doing here:

I’ll be talking about all facets of my life: art, small business, caretaking, grief, reading, learning, and all the random cozy hobbies my neurospicy brain fixates on for a spell. (Lately it's been linocut - before that it was polymer clay.)

I want this space to be joyful, entertaining, and inspiring. Think more old school blog than polished think pieces.

I’m aiming to post something new every Friday. There will be occasional posts that will be behind a paywall (mostly more personal, vulnerable shares) – but to start, most of what I share here will be free.

Also: this is a No-AI zone, because I believe with my whole heart authentic connection will save us, and AI-slop will swallow us whole.

If you have questions for me, or if there’s anything you’d like me to write about, feel free to reply to any of the emails I send, or write to me at evan@evanleahquinn.com

a few facts about me to kick things off:

  • I am: a mama, an artist, queer, audhd, the eldest daughter, aquarius/cancer/capricorn, and a reflector in human design. I am also very dedicated to my roles as big sister and auntie.
  • I was widowed when I was 36, making the ongoing practice of living a joyful, abundant life while carrying forever-grief one of my core tenets.
  • I’ve made my living as a self-employed web designer/digital marketing professional for almost two decades.
  • I live in central Maine with my kindergartener, who is called Day, and a bunch of creatures. (Two dogs, three cats, a chinchilla, and four tortoises, to be specific.)
  • I’m partnered to the loveliest fellow-queer/neurosparkly artist, Aiden.
  • I have a big, audacious dream of becoming a full-time working artist and creative mentor.
  • I read as much as possible, and got into audiobooks in particular a few years ago. We can be friends on Storygraph if you’re into it.
  • My favorite colors are purple and green.
  • My favorite creatures (besides the ones that live with me) are possums and orchid mantises.
  • I have several forms of synesthesia.
  • I would eat french fries every day.
